Glass Water Bottle Delivery Service:
The type of water you drink matters. After all, water is the body’s most-needed nutrient. While some consumers favour tap water’s accessibility, others value the nutritional benefit of mineral water, and many can’t get enough of spring water’s purity and great taste. Between all these different preferences and interchanging diet fads, which type of water really is the best for you to drink?
Spring Water Is The Best Water You Can Drink
Choosing to drink spring water is one of the best decisions you can make for your health. Spring water contains all the nutrients of mineral water in regulated amounts, and doesn’t have any of the chemicals you’ll regularly ingest from tap water.
Spring water is always perfectly pure. It originates from a protected organic source and as is purified by rocks and soil as it travels naturally to the earth’s surface. During this process, spring water absorbs the essential minerals your body needs to survive and thrive. It is then bottled fresh at its source, remaining all-natural and uncontaminated every step of the way.
The balanced concentration of minerals in spring water is what gives it a fantastic, fresh taste. At bear springs, we tested several springs across Ontario until we found the best tasting natural spring water. The delicious, crisp flavour of our wilderness water is one of the main reasons why Canadians are making the switch to bear springs. That, and the health benefits that accompany each glass of our amazing spring water.
Spring water has incredible potential for improving the gut microbiome, which is responsible for 70% of your immunity. Did you know that more than 100 trillion types of bacteria live in your gut? Chlorinated tap water kills both bad and good bacteria, which makes your gut health and immunity exceptionally vulnerable. A deficit of good gut bacteria can lead to many concerning ailments, such as IBS, obesity, and diabetes. Alternatively, consuming natural foods and drinks and cultivating good bacteria in your gut gives your body and mind a superb advantage.
Other benefits of drinking spring water include a faster metabolism, improved weight management, adequate hydration, a sharper mind, and more energy. Spring water is also naturally alkaline; necessary for neutralizing acidity in the body. Bear springs wilderness water has a pH of 8!
When choosing a Canadian spring water provider, you have the opportunity to make a difference in the environment. Bear springs has partnered with bearwithus.org. Proceeds from all orders are donated to support and rehabilitate black bears and their habitats.
Use Caution When Drinking Tap Water
Municipal water is filtered and treated to make it safe for consumption, but is it as pure as it could be? You might consider the water that comes from your faucet healthy enough to drink, but there are risks attached to drinking tap water on a regular basis.
Currently, Health Canada’s water guideline advises for 75 substances that could possibly be in your tap water. Municipal water is treated with chlorine, fluoride, ammonia, and phosphoric acid. These additives tend to alter the smell and colour of the water, and also give it a metallic or disagreeable taste.
Chlorine is used in water to kill bacteria and contaminants, however its potency can negatively affect the body over time by destroying the good bacteria in the gut that is needed to stabilize one’s overall health. Drinking chlorinated water has been linked to heart attacks, the development of food allergies, and increased risk of bladder, gastrointestinal, and rectal cancers.
Those who drink tap water regularly should also be aware of the potential for lead in their water. According to Global News, older homes are more likely to have lead plumbing, which can cause significant health problems.
Some consumers prefer to drink tap water because it is both cost-effective and environmentally friendly; preventing expenditure and waste of single-use water bottles. While this is true, drinking pure spring water from a water cooler is just as beneficial, if not more. Renting or owning a water cooler in Toronto helps you to be financially efficient, reduce your carbon footprint, and protect your health in the long-run.

Drink Mineral Water In Moderation
The current consumer interest in mineral water is because of the high quantity of minerals it contains. Compared to spring water, mineral water has more minerals in PPM (parts per million), but surprisingly, it is for this exact reason that mineral water should be drank sparingly.
Similar to spring water, mineral water is classified as water that comes from a natural underground source. What sets mineral water apart is that it must continually maintain a high amount of total dissolved solids (TDS), anywhere from 250 PPM and above. These dissolved substances include inorganic salts and minerals. The TDS in mineral water varies widely, as this sum depends on where the mineral water originates and the quantity and specifics of the substances it collects from its source.
The dissolved substances found in both spring water and mineral water include magnesium, calcium, potassium, and sodium. These minerals are essential for proper nutrition and healthy physiology. Magnesium helps control blood pressure and is necessary for good heart health. Calcium is needed for bone growth and muscle functioning. Potassium is required for the transport of nutrients and nerve signalling. Sodium maintains blood volume and blood pressure, and helps stimulate muscles.
Often, mineral water contains more dissolved solids than recommended and can be considerably high in sodium. Those who have high blood pressure should be especially careful when drinking mineral water. Since mineral water acts as a dietary supplement, it should be appropriately consumed. If you do not require an extra boost to your diet, or you are already taking other health supplements, you likely don’t need to drink mineral water.
Canada advises that the total dissolved solids in drinking water should be limited to 500 mg/L (approximately 500 PPM). The World Health Organization suggests that, for the sake of taste, TDS should not exceed 300 mg/L. If you’re searching for mineral-rich water that will benefit your health and maintain a pure, lively taste, spring water offers you the best of both.
Bear springs is proud to deliver Canadian spring water that is full of minerals, at 205 PPM. This amount allows for our spring water to satisfy recommended dietary allowances without exceeding them, all while our water remains fresh and flavourful from the first sip to the last.
